About
A family workshop that grew up with Foshan's furniture cluster.
Founded in 2008 by master craftsman Wang Jiamin, Gaosi Furniture began as a 400 m² workshop producing solid oak dining sets for the domestic Chinese market. Over the next 15 years, the workshop grew alongside the Lecong furniture cluster — Foshan's mid-to-high tier production heartland — eventually expanding to a 12,000 m² facility with full vertical integration from kiln-drying to finishing.
Today Gaosi specializes in solid wood and engineered furniture for European buyers, with a particular focus on Scandinavian-aesthetic case goods. The workshop holds OEM contracts with three Nordic furniture brands and supplies hospitality projects across Northern Europe.
What sets Gaosi apart from larger Foshan factories is its in-house finishing line — a four-stage hand-applied oil and wax process that produces the matte, natural look favored by European designers. This is the reason most clients return for repeat orders.
The workshop is BSCI audited and FSC certified for both FM and CoC. Sample lead time is typically 14 days; production runs of 500–1,000 units take 35–45 days; full container loads ship FOB Shenzhen via the workshop's regular weekly consolidation.

Oak, walnut, ash, cherry, beech. Sourced from FSC-certified suppliers in North America and Northern Europe. In-house kiln drying.

Plywood, MDF, particle board with veneer overlay. CARB P2 and EPA TSCA Title VI compliant for US-bound shipments.

Hand Finishing
Four-stage oil and wax application by trained finishers. Natural matte look. No sprayed lacquer. The reason Scandinavian buyers come back.

Six 5-axis CNC machines for complex curves and joinery. Tolerance ±0.1mm. Good for case goods, chair components, and custom panels.

Sample Development
14-day sample lead time from approved technical drawings. Iteration round included in quote. Drawings handled in mm or imperial units.

Container Loading
In-house QC inspection before loading. Loading photos provided. Weekly consolidation to Shenzhen Yantian and Shekou.

Brass, stainless, blackened steel hardware sourced from local Foshan suppliers. Custom branding (laser etch / debossing) available.

2008
Workshop founded
Wang Jiamin opens a 400 m² workshop in Lecong, Foshan, producing solid oak dining sets for the domestic Chinese market.

First export order
