Apparel &
Denim

A pair of jeans is judged in three places: the wash house where the indigo comes off, the measuring table where the size spec is checked twice, and the repeat order where the second batch must match the first. These workshops cut and sew denim and apparel in China’s garment belts — Jun’an in Shunde has washed denim for export brands for decades. Because the product touches skin and the label makes claims, the paperwork follows the fabric: ask for the fabric mill’s test reports, the colourfastness and azo-dye results for your destination market, and whether the washing is done in-house or sent out — a perfect sample means little if the wash house changes between batches.
