A bag is judged at the seam: the stitching gauge at the handle base, the zipper brand stamped on the puller, and whether the trolley system survives the drop test or just the showroom. These workshops cut, stitch, rivet and assemble suitcases, duffels, totes, backpacks and small leather goods — mostly to a brand’s own pattern, on OEM and ODM programmes. Because it is build-to-sample, almost nothing about the price is visible in a photograph: send the tech pack with material and lining specs, hardware brands, stitching gauge and test standard, ask who owns the moulds and plates — and for genuine leather, ask where the hide documentation is before the first quote is taken seriously.
