Safety &
Rescue Equipment

Rescue equipment is bought once and judged in the worst ten minutes of someone’s year. These suppliers make the hardware that gets to a casualty faster than a swimmer can — remote-controlled rescue buoys and surface robots, inflatable rescue craft and portable boats, telescopic rescue poles, floating stretchers, and portable electric vehicles for first responders. Almost none of it is an ordinary consumer good: a powered rescue buoy carries a lithium battery and a radio link, an inflatable rescue craft may fall under marine-equipment rules, and a four-wheel electric vehicle needs road approval in its destination market. Ask which approvals the supplier actually holds, in whose name, and for which product — a company certificate is not a product approval.
