The same scope states “不含电镀、铸造工序” — electroplating and casting are not included. If a design needs plating, ask who does it.

Do precious-metal watch cases need to be hallmarked?

How can a gold-clad case be described?
Carefully, and per market. Under the tariff nomenclature, “metal clad with precious metal” means a precious-metal layer fixed by soldering, brazing, welding, hot-rolling or similar mechanical means — plating does not count. Are there chemical limits for parts that touch the skin?
In the European Union, yes. REACH Annex XVII entry 27 limits nickel release to 0.5 micrograms per square centimetre per week for articles in prolonged skin contact and names wrist-watch cases, watch straps and tighteners; entries 23 and 63 limit cadmium to 0.01% and lead to 0.05% in jewellery articles, which include wrist watches.
