Shunde district (administrative code 440606) is the world's largest furniture sourcing hub — Lecong, Longjiang, and Junan towns alone account for most of China's mid-to-high-end residential furniture output. A real factory will have a registered address in one of these zones. 3. Drop the address into Baidu Maps satellite view before believing it. Industrial parks look industrial — large rectangular roofs, loading docks, visible material yards, and trucks on site. Residential or mixed-use commercial buildings are red flags. Then ask the supplier for a 5-minute uncut video walk from the front gate to the cutting or upholstery floor. Real factories can produce this in a day; trading companies stall, send obvious stock footage, or refuse outright.
4. Demand certifications that match the export market you are entering. ISO 9001 is baseline; BSCI or Sedex SMETA matters for European retailers; CARB Phase 2 / TSCA Title VI applies to wood products entering the US.
